day and night walker 237
nearly lost my dog yesterday. she was was missing 4 about three hours. she went off after a rabbit in the woods local to me. Had to go home to get a torch when it got dark following the same routewe both took getting there. When i got back to the woods i shone the torch and there she was she was caked in dirt n mud so she had obviously followed the rabbit to ground. God was i happy to see her again the thing is she isnt a small dog she is about 15 tts and she has a deep chest not only that but she has never shown an interest in earths before but then again she is only a young dog. I am gonna have to be a lot more careful from now on. Quote Link to post
bobby blackheart 1,209
not so long ago-myself and a few other members spent 4 days/4 nights digging a rabbit warren looking for a 9m old lakie pup that ran to ground on a drummer-the lads first dog-it didnt end in a good way-never encourage a terrier to go to ground on rabbits-it will end in tears at some point-myself i wont keep terrier thats interested in them-my 12 yr old black dog saw his first rabbit last summer time-pmsl it bolted in front of him and he didnt know what to do-wouldnt even give chase just the way i like it they do enjoy the taste of them mind not knocking the lads that use them to ground-just not my thing.atb bobby 2 Quote Link to post
