Guest vin
Very pleasant day..just mooching local with dog and ferret, few nets, travelling as light as poss. The dog was on top marking form and she gave a great mark on the 1st set i came upon..1 bunny out. next one was the same..all to easy.. then on the next set the dog was interested in i couldnt get to all the holes and i missed one out of a bolt hole under the brambles..dog followed it up the hedge and found its next port of call.. I gave it 10 minutes and moved over and netted up the marked set with dog going mad at 1 hole nr a tree stump, long story short, ferrets got the little bugger running about and it ends up right under the tree roots about 2 foot below a serious set of roots.I left it a while and made sure it was staying and started trying to dig around the roots..Impossisble..so i started chopping away at a smaller section hoping to get around and under the root...as i was banging the root with my sharp end of spade..Bang ! out shoots bunny just down the bank at the next hole on,in the nets and grabbed by the dog..sorted ! thank ferk !! I was so relieved to not have to go chopping through them big old roots..LOL.. must admit did pop ferret in just incase there was anymore..But there wasnt. ended on 3.. thats good going local..believe me.
