jill age?

hello fellow hunters

 

ive just been out to check the stinkers and 2 out of my 3 jills are in season, there all different ages, one is a year old, one is 2 years old and one is 5 years old, the oldest isnt in season and we havent had any luck in breeding with her these past few years, which got me thinking.....(i know theres a word for this but cant remember it, so please dont take the mick out of me ) im thinking that some ferrets just cant have babys, am i right in thinking that?. also is there an age where ferrets stop having the abilty to have kits? (i know theres a word for that to but several cans of carling are starting to take there toll )

I had a jill who didt come into season the last 3 yrs of her life here, she was around 5 when she stopped having seasons
