COMPO 54
Nice looking pup, and,it looks like he's got some stocky legs to grow into. Please keep the photo's comking as he grows. will do...but he's a she........presuambly she'll be a tad smaller on that basis there is a formula for estimating a childs height which is add the parents heights together share by two, then add 2 inch for boys and take 2 inch off for girls, this means my 8 year old son will be 6'04" and my daughter will be 6'....i dont know whether this works for dogs she looks to have stocky legs and they usually grow to fill their legs, if the sire was taller than the dam i would reckon an inch or so taller than the dam!? Guest wex
Like any cross, there is no guarantee of what hieght they will make. There is always a chance the pup may throw back to a small dog in the line. Then again they might end up a monstrosity, its a lottery lurcher breeding. I have had first hand experience of your particular cross. My best two dogs were of this breeding and a friend also bred a litter. My dogs were out of a 24 1/2in 3/8 5/8 to a 26in track bitch, and "ERIC" and "ERNIE" made 26+27in respectivly. My mates litter was out of a 27in 3/8 5/8 to a 23in track bitch, and the pups all topped 26in. Two of the dogs i got for some young lads i know, made 28+30in respectivly. So as you can see the results can be quite interesting. On a slightly different note cross wise, i once had a bitch pup. She was out of a 29in 1stx deerhound greyhound put to a 24in beddy greyhound bitch. I thought 25in bitch easy! 21 1/2in she made, obviously threw to the beddy ancestry. Like i said its a lottery, but with your cross you should end up with something its dams size or above. P.S. i will pm you some snaps of "ERIC". Quote Link to post
