Had my bull x cross bitch out this evening with the terriers, no hunting just a stroll, she had split her stop on her foot exactly a month ago and it had healed nicely, so i was,nt taking any chances or so i thought  ihad her on lead and she saw a rabbit and wanted to have it, i didn,t let her go and the terriers chased after it, any way i was sure there was nothing around and i let her have a run with the others, she came back and was grand, a few minutes later she just about got through a gap before i could put her back on the lead, she must have saw something because she was gone when i got through, a few minutes later she came trotting back and then held her leg up, i was fu**in sick as a pig when i saw the blood, its not half as bad as last time but it did split a little, it was.nt bleeding as bad as last time either, so there it is, what do i do now? keep her off for another month or so or do i stick it with something? any ideas? :hmm::cry::cry:

You might find that yu will always have to bandage that stop up in the future to stop it opening again. Scar tissue doesn't stretch like normal tissue, and the stopper takes a hell of a lot of hammer when the dog is running. Seen quite a few dogs that had to be be bandaged up when running: or try and get some stopper protectors, available from the Greyhound Shop: they've got a website I believe: just Google Greyhound Shop.

Failing all else get the stopper removed: but that's only a last resort as you'll still end up having to bandage the area to proect the joint the stopper would have protected if it was still there, if you see what I mean.
