It is my first year of breeding kits, 7 weeks ago i became a dad to 8 gorgeous ferrets. i have been told different opinions about what age it is best to take the kits off the mother and sell them . what d u guys think is the safest age to sell them

different people will do it there own way , myself i got told between 6 - 8 weeks depending on how they are eating if they are strong kits at 6 weeks an eating well they should be ok

yep if they are eating well and are strong at 6 weeks then off they go

My first ones to go were about 8 weeks old, some have gone at 10 weeks and some are yet to go, will be about 12 weeks before they're off. As long as theres plenty of room & plenty of food theres no great hurry.

got rid of my kits at 8 weeks....i think as long as they are weaned & feeding on solids they can go to new homes
