Ideation 8,217
I had to work fairly late today, and got home after dark. Decided to take the dog for a bit of road walking along the lanes near me about half seven. I took the torch i use with the gun with me, as it has a pretty decent beam for a small thing. Anyway, passed a paddock and had a little look over the hedge as i walked past, and there were a couple of bunnys sat just off the far hedge. Walked around to the gate, jumped over and walked towards where i had seen them, flicked the torch back on and slipped the dog, they were still a good way off, the first bunny saw him as he got half way and dropped to ground, but the second hesitated too long and then panicked, with the dog pushing it away from the set and out into the field. A bit of a straight, a turn, another turn, and bang, he nailed it on the bend. Not the greatest nights lamping by any stretch of the imagination, but a nice little bonus to a walk, and especially with a dog i despair about taking lamping as he's a little b*****d. I did give him one more slip on the way home, but the rabbit went through a hedge into someones garden, and the dog smashed straight through the hedge, leaving a whippet sized hole, and put the rabbit to ground in the shrubs. . . . . and i had to go and get the little f****r. Ah well, win some, lose some! Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,217
Lol. Your nuts........ It's a long winded affair with this total bell end who owns a house that is surrounded on all 4 sides by my permissions, he also has a small paddock. Last time we were doing it we got accused of scaring his horse (that was standing with us having a scratch), and he got quite shirty, however, everytime we go we ferret his borders. Not a happy man. There is also a set in his small back garden we have had a number of rabbits out of commando style Almost forgot the time he came out of his house to tell me to stay off his land, and finn saw him, went through the fence, up his drive, past him, into the garden, jumped into the hedge and dragged a cock pheasant out and proceeded to batter it on his lawn, spreading feathers everywhere, while he shouted at me and the dog in turn Edited November 18, 2011 by Ideation Quote Link to post

He certainly has a 'personality' and a mind of his own. And no, i don't think he likes moaning minny (the guy) one bit. I do kind of feel sorry for him (not), he lives slap bang in the middle of 100's of acres of my permission that i stomp most days 1 Quote Link to post
