eagle 3
Today the Christmas tree of Trafalgar Square was cut down in Norway. This has been done every year since 1947. The tree is a gift to the U.K. for their support and assistance of the Norwegian people, during the second world war. Here you can see the environment and where the action took place. The action was supervised by the Mayor of Westminster Mrs. Susan Burbridge, the English ambassador to Norway Mrs. Jane Owen and the Mayor of Oslo Mr. Fabian Stang. The tree is located to the left and little forward of the yellow crane. Right behind the red and blue dressed woman

eagle 3
Thank you very much for your kind reply. I did not know that Liverpool also had a tree from Norway. Here you can see from left to right the Mayor of Oslo and the Mayor of Westminster Mrs. Susan Burbridge using and old double handed saw.
