TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi If u mean how long is it taking for firearms licensing folk to look at the request wether it be a new app or variation or even request to have open condition like yourself, for example Derbyshire are taking two months,They received a variation I posted Monday and the young lady says it won't be back this side of Xmas, only sent it for address change and to put 22lr back on it,or are u meaning how long before u should apply for open condition,if so a few years back i applied after 6 months and was refused on all 3 rifles, tried after 8 with a letter wanting to know why and it came back opened with no conditions on the 22 and 17, but I have to wait till first renewal for the centrefire, not long only 14 months.I can still get other land for the 223 just have to get permission slips and land check if not already done so Atb 223 Atb 223 Quote Link to post

TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi How come he has to come and see you after applying for open condition? Mine was posted same as paulus, A quick question for paulus if u don't mind me jumping in this thread, when all the rifles are on open condition on the cert do you still have to submit a land permission form when renewing? Or is it not used as we make our own decisions on where to shoot,I only have one mire to be opened on renewal.I'm speaking as from after that point, Atb 223 Quote Link to post

TWOTWOTHREE 152
Yep you can Shoot with the permission letters for each bit of land that's cleared,so it's not a real issue for you if the land is your regular patch just send a form and it gets checked and added to your list of places to hunt feo happy and your happy job done, open just gives that bit more freedom! For example u get a invite to clear a million bunnys from some land down the road and it needs doing tonight but can't because you haven't sent a permission slip in for checking, i know I would be gutted lol, when u get it opened u can decide where to shoot as long as u have permission and its safe, surr saves lots of time and hassle with paperwork, let us know how u get on, Atb 223 Quote Link to post
