yeeharr 41
During my walk at the weekend I took the oppurtunity to check that the puppy was still behaving when in the company of domesticated animals......... He was more interested in competing for food than bothering the Old Spot piglet. The donkeys held no interest for him, although he keeps one eye on them as they aren't as well behaved with him!!! yeeharr 41
He's fine off of the lead. The piglet is new and I wasn't 100% as to how they'd be with each other. I walk through the donkeys paddock with the shotgun and leave him off of his lead but when I've got him sitting by them I leave his lead on. This is mainly for his own safety as the donkeys and the Shetland that shares the field have chased him across the field once before. If they start and he's on the lead I can pull him close to me and clump the equine feckers on the nose. Quote Link to post

yeeharr 41
He's fine mate, doesn't cause me any bother, is good around the house and with the family. He hasn't done anything yet, a couple of shot bunnies retrieved, a few days with the shotgun, and he's coming ferreting on Saturday. It'll be a day of watching and carrying a bunny back to the motor. I don't expect him to get going until the new year and that'll be at an easy pace. He's just 8 months. Quote Link to post
