gedro8888 77
a few months ago a good friend of mine gave me his cracking little jill to breed with one of my hobs, and he did sevral times,he said he would leave her for the week ,maybe a mistake but i left them housed together no problems ,at the end of the week one evening i went to feed them NO JILL , i checked the whole hutch no way of escape i always use very small aviry mesh, after cleaning out the hutch i found some proof of what i suspected (a few small bones and part of the skull) now anything is possible so i put it down to a one off ,heres the problem last night i came home from work to find a young jill missing it was in a hutch with its mother since it was born 5 months ago never a problem again no way out, mother wouldnt eat when i went to feed her (but could find no remains) just cant believe whats going on ,just wondering if anyone has touched on this before, many thanks for reading. The one 8,619
Aye it happens a odd time the general thinking is there something wrong with the ferret the other ferret susses this out and kills it and eats it .Just like a jill giving birth to kits and theres a deformed or other one that dissapears Quote Link to post
