byron 1,283 Posted October 29, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 mackem.....ferry portsmouth/ santander... cross spain.. ferry spain..[tanger med ]new port... marroco..pick mauri visa up in rabat.. down western sahara .. pick up mali visa,,nouachott.. turn left into mali..lol.......... six/8weeks timescale.. will be on bikes,, tenere....bmw.. hoping to visit dogon country.. and any other crazy/out the way place down there.... mostly wild camping..will be having a look/stay for a few days.. at an overland site in bamako.. google ..sleeping camel.. cheers... byron........ mackem 31,788 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 Sounds like fun and I always liked "sleeping camels"I did a 20 day camel trip once when I was a kid,done a few trips like yours,longest was overland UK to Hong Kong following the old silk route,I was in Morocco earlier this year,good times,happy memories,life is all about experience and family Byron,anything else is icing on the cake,good luck and enjoy your trip.
