Leeview 792
has any body used jute purse nets or made them? are they any good Jute/Hemp/Flax is a natural fibre takes a lot of looking after(hanging up each net to dry out after a damp or wet days use) it used to be THE material when I started but has been replaced by nylon and even that has been superceded by Spun Poly as muddy commented Funnily enough I picked 4 balls of BEST FLAX up at a car boot sale got all 4 for £3 and Im onto the last needle of completing a longnet with it just for nostalgia sake Y.I.S Leeview 1 Quote Link to post

muddy210 34
its ok jamie as long as you look after it it needs carefull drying out after every trip or it will rot from the inside out and dont dry it on a radiator it just rots faster. once made its a good recomendation to dip in cuprinol or wood stain preserves it that bit longer. The one 8,585
They do take a fair bit of after care but they handle great and can be heavy as they pick up a fair amount of moisture when your out Quote Link to post
