Advice needed

Recommended Posts

Just leave it. Keep it clean and dry. The bitch will lick it and keep it clean, but don't take her in mud or dirty places until the claw has grown over enough to cover the raw end of the quick. It might not grow back, but most do. Either way it shouldn't be a problem. Just check it every day to make sure there is no heat in the end of the toe which would mean that there is infection. Unlikely if the dog is healthy and on a good diet.

My bitch has took her back nail right off down to skin. Should I just leave it and it will grow back or trip to the vets needed ? Plenty of trips to the beach may help . Any of advice would be helpful ?
