dogpainter 0 Posted March 19, 2007 Report Share Posted March 19, 2007 Each year we introduce many thousands of game poults into the countryside.These young birds have little self preservation in there first year.The fox has no need to hunt he can pick up his dinner anytime that he has a mind to.As we all know exess food can cause a population explosion.There is more food for predators in the countryside now than there ever has been .yet foxes have moved into the citys,The fox is very territorial,could it be that sheer numbers has forced the fox to find that humans are much less of a threat than there own kind? Twenty or thirty years ago a gamekeeper was doing quite well when he culled three or four foxes in a season.Young gamekeepers now are culling thirty or forty foxes in a season with less effort.So what has changed?
