jasper65 6
alot of these white feathers are a deficiency in their diet, I picked up some youngsters a few years back that was totaly knackered due to the white feathers being brittle and snapped, these birds could hardly get off the ground. I know you can get true albino's but these birds have a problem ... looks like a crow? then again my eyesights knackered these days..

tegater 789
Its bill makes it look like a crow. Paulus, here in the pennines, we do get large flocks of crows, and this goes against the grain of what some people think. Until you see it you may not believe it. Crows can be pretty gregarious as well. Its mighty anoying when decoying crows to a carcass and a small flock all turn up at once, because although you might get a couple, the rest of them bugger off never to return. (I often wonder if they fly off and tell their mates ) I would sooner have a steady trickle of them all day! This is a pic of a crow with discoloured wings I whacked some time ago, and again sometimes we will see a family group of these with as many as 4 or 5 flying around together. Not for long though usually!!
