Can someone clear up the law with digging fox in Northern Ireland..was talking to a fella today and he said new law out cant drop dog in which i no isnt true but can someone clear up the ins and outs?

I was told by a fella a while back that if you flush a fox from cover into a hole then it's legal to dig it out. Though he said it was illegal to run about checking holes ????? I don't know what he's on about or if that is true because the same fella hasn't a notion !!!! Lol. Sure if that was the case how could the Feds prove you hadn't ran the fox to ground even if you did or not ???? All I know is it's legal to hunt fox so just work away mate. As said, make sure you have permission from the land owner.

them feckers in stormont are trying to put a ban on it..... its definitly tightening up in northern ireland,,, but as the guys said if you have land owners permission to be there then its defo ok.... after all you doing him a favour..... but i will say this you are not allowed to kill a fox with a lurcher anymore at the end of a dig has to be dispatched with pistol or shotgun ...... definitly not as bad as england yet but if them penpushers in stormont get there way it will be tally ho..... the days of running about trying all burrows everywhere and anywhere are definitly gone tho just takes 1 busy body driving past in the car to call the hawaii 5.0 and ur in a sticky situation...me and mate where going to try a burrow 1 day about 2 years ago...just a russell bitch of mine with me no lurcher not carrying a spade we handy 2 eyed hole ive took a few foxes from.... got back to the car and 2 plain clothes cops 1 a tidy female and the other a male both in 30s and dressed in civis....out with badges saying they were from the rural crime unit of the police and asked us where we out looking for billy.... after giving the car a thorough search and a radiio in of me and my mate... they drove off...only to follow us again bout 30 mins later so we called it a day lol...havent seen them since thank fcuk lol.... atb stopend

It is legal and I know of fellas that have been pulled by cops and uspca with hounds and dead fox they had no problem with it. Thing is they can throw the unnecessary pain and suffering to animals ( dogs ) one at you if your lurchers banged up and thats a total different ball game then.

they can do u for unnecessary suffering to an animal but if uve got a vet who u can go to then just tell them to go to feck.nofin they can do about it thers no law against digin fox.

oh and your 100% right mudd dog theres ways and means round it men like anything else.... always carry permission slips of whos land your on along with his telephone number have insurance not just for the car or van but for yourselves and dogs, have all tools boxed away.... they dont be long taking a red face when then know that you hunt within the law then they cant fecking touch you
