what generation firsr second myself i like the deerhound cross but believe me they come better with the odd breed or two in the mix of course deerhound both sides like most generation breeds do and are proven to produce better aniomals . atb bunnys.

thats not allways true mate mine in the top pick is very good dog he is 5th generaTION DH X GH and i have a dh x gh x collie x gh pup he is cuming on nicely but not a patch on the dh x gh yet

Ha Ha !! That'll be a long wait mate !! She's only two year old, and needs to prove herself before I even think of breeding from her !! She's just come back from almost two month in Yorkshire,where my dogs were looked after by friends while I was in Australia. She pined something terrible and wouldn't eat, but she's been back in her own kennel for two weeks and is looking good. She ran her first hare of the season last week and took it well, so she's in full training and will be worked hard this season. Hows her brother doing ? I almost picked him, but it was a bitch I wanted, if I'd wanted a dog, you wouldn't have him now !! LOL !! He was the pick of the litter for me !!

davey may i say i must have been understood by yourself a generation bred deerhound grey like yours will have the influence of deerhond stronger in most case but bred down more versatile ,your collie grey derhound grey while they can be good ,may only have inherited very little deerhound influence bredon again over generations deerhound lurcher the better animals come about. Ihave allways found animals of around 25 are better equipped for the all round job of a mixed bred deerhound lurcher of the generation type best to best. theres very few f1s of any type that can hold a candle to a well bred generation dog.atb bunnys. only my oppinion.
