Yokel Matt 918
could anyone put up pics or tell me how to make tunnels for fenn traps ? As long as the tunnel is suitable for the size of your quarry but small enough to prevent not target species treading on it ie. Fox/Badger/Deer (and placed in such a place / manner to avoid smaller ones) and the trap movements are not restricted its pretty much common sense. I'm not saying your don't have any common sense... just that they can be so easy to make ie from taking advantage of natural tunnels to a bending a small sheet of wire mesh round your boot to the right width and height. Guest Ditch_Shitter
For permanent, Traditional type tunnels to house Fenn Mk IV's, I like to make mine with an internal measurement of 6 1/2" wide by 5" high. About 18" long suits me too. Then I cut in slots, to hold battens across the bottom: These allow me to pop the set trap in between them. My idea is to form a baffle / hop up so that the rat is committed as he steps on out over the pan in between: Works for me, anyway: Quote Link to post

john b 38
I also make 'boxes' which are almost exactly the same - only with a floor and removable lid. Quote Link to post
