Aup, Shups the name. (Obviously not my real name ) Live in the North West. The main thing that brought me to this site was the Lurcher & Running Dog section.

I hardly ever go out in the night with the dogs, I just don't have the time. I keep a family members dogs fit for him (as well as my own dog), absolutely love it!

Currently work with (I'll try to get some pictures up later):

1/2 bull 1/4 collie 1/4 whippet male (my own dog, kept as a family pet and doesn't get worked, although it's a tank and loves a chase)

1/2 bull 1/2 greyhound, two of them, both bitches

1/2 greyhound 1/2 collie male

1/2 deerhound 1/2 greyhound bitch

and up until recently a greyhound saluki but she died of old age :cray:

I take them out every other morning and do varying things with them. Some days I'll just let them chase each other around (normally just consists of the rest of them chasing the fastest bullgrey about), some days I'll take a golf club and a ball out smash it as hard as I can, let my dog chase it and then 5 seconds later release the rest of them, some I'll get on my bike go down to the local brindle path early in the morning when there is no there is other dogs about and just bike as fast as I can for as long as I can.

This is my favourite one though. There's an absolutely massive and steep hill near where I live. I'll take them to the bottom of it, tell them all to sit. Then I'll set off as fast I can up the hill and watch them all absolutely bucket it past me to the top of the hill, and I'll just rinse and repeat this until either I'm crawling or the one of the dogs have had it.

Surprisingly it's my dog and the fastest bullgrey that manage to keep the majority of their speed through out, and especially after the hills my dog even gives the fastest bullgrey a run for it's money.

Must work because all the dogs seem to be top of their game (keeps me at the top of mine too) and some of my brother friends have asked me start taking their dogs out with them too. Can't be doing with the hassle of a million dogs though, 5 is enough for me.

I'm pretty much here to pick up tips on keeping the dogs fit.
