Ive had a bad day, i was out this evening with my dogs on my partners land. I was happily taking some photo's of my dogs with my new camera when the neighbouring farmers dogs came onto our land and started fighting with one of my dogs. Well anyway before i knew it all hell broke loose and my 9 dogs where fighting with her 4 spaniels and we couldent get any of them apart.

Her dogs seem ok but 2 of my show dogs have torn ears and ive been bitten on the wrist, this woman was kicking up i had too many dogs with me. Ive walked across this field for years with my dogs and never bumped into these dogs does she have any right to give me a hard time.

My partner dosent want me to upset the neighbouring farmer as they let us over there land in the summer, what do you lot think, im worried the police might turn up and give me a hard time.

This is where bull comes in very handy what kind of dogs do you show? oh ya and she hasnt got a leg to stand on !

I breed/work and show Bedlingtons and Whippets, her dogs must have been brave to take on a pack of Bedlingtons as they are known for liking a good scrap. I do hope you are right that she dosent have a leg to stand on legally

i would be pritty pissed off if it was me

but if your partner wants to be neighborly i can see his point

i wouldnt loss any sleep over it you where not the one in the wrong

Check with you regional council CM. Some councils brought (or were going to) in a law as to how many dogs you could legally walk at once, all councils are different though. It was brought in because of the professional dog walkers walking too many dogs at once. probably just for public land though?

Take a bottle of wine round to Dorris's and be nice about it, your partners right you do have to get on. Try and make light of the job and you never know things can sort themselves out for the better.

 

Or the other option is a folding .410 , for her dogs next time.

if your not bothered about persueing her over the fact her dogs were out of control and damaged your dogs, then she should count herself lucky....remind her of this!!!

You have nowth to worry about, a nice cake while checking to see if her dogs are ok should do the job, your partner is dead right, stay friends.

You should have seen it !! she had 4 big heavy springer spaniels and i had 9 whippets and bedlingtons i was kicking the hell out of my dogs and hers and all she was doing was blowing one of them shooting whistles hoping that her dogs would come back to her.

Tell her to train her mutts properly to come back to whistle.

 

Too many dogs indeed, what, does she want you to only have 1 or 2 so that her 4 ill-trained springers can kill one next time?
