muddy210 34
just added two new ferts into my setup total now four. cleaned out this morning and refed also included a small bowl of milk and an egg as a treat once every couple of weeks i do this. went out about 4 hours later as one of the ferts backed up against the wire for a crap upon which point it squirted across the path like it was taking a pee. so i grabbed here quickly and have checked her over and she seems fine no other indications that she looks unwell or anything else have since kept an eye and all the others seem normal ie there not shitting through the eye of a needle. at the minute they are on alpha ferret food with meat every couple of days. have not had meet for the last 2 but gonna keep them off this till i know whats going on or she is ok. any advice on what could cause this. AndyKelly 251
please do not feed your ferret milk - they are lactose intolorant and this will cause the diarrhea it is not the way forward.years ago everyone used to feed milk but it has since been proven that the intolerance is there and you are poisoning the ferret! 1 Quote Link to post

joe14 98
Dont use normal milk it will give them the shits. I use cat milk or lactofree milk for the ferrets as a treat once a week. Both low in lactose. Doesnt give my ferrets the shits. Edited August 29, 2011 by joe14 Quote Link to post
