mink snare setup

i was down at the river today spotting for mink sign's and lo and behold plenty of them, so got 1 cage baited and set with a piece of a pheasant that got a hammering from other's in the pin last night. Just around the cornor of the same bridge i seen the run at the but of this tree where im sure they are crossing, so i desided to try something diffrent for a change. I found a rabbit snare in the car and this is the setup that i hope will work. Hopefully tomorrow ill have a victim.

you dont need that much obtruction to make the mink go where you want simple is often the best method but good luck hope you catch him

Good man for trying something different. I reckon a piney will take the poult before a mink even is in the vicinity.

them branches i put there were to hold the snare in position and shouldnt be an obstruction to Mr. black.but keep him in the right direction for the snare.

well today was a good 1 not in the snare tho but at the other side of the bridge

in a cage made myself. 1 less anyway.

well i landed to check yesterday and the bait was gone and the sticks and snare move and the sticks were down to the side, so whatever went up there was big, thinking it could have a pine martin as there is an odd 1 around there.
