hunting ferrets

hi guys

 

thanks for the advise on my last post

 

i am going to get some ferrets and i was wondering how to bring a ferret on to hunt or do they have a natural instinct ....

All you need to do it point them in the direction of a rabbit hole! Ferrets are naturally inquisitive so need very little encouragement to go into holes. As long as you're quiet while the ferret goes about it's business underground, the rabbits will usually bolt rather than take their chances with the ferret.

most ferrets will work its natural to them then again some wont my advice to you is get ferrets from working parents and work your young ferrets with a older working ferret if possible and if you cant get your young ferrets out with an expierenced ferret just stick to small setts and dont be expecting to much from your young ferret in its first season give it time and atb

Go to somebody who works them and get your kits there it will give you a better chance of getting a worker ,all ferrets will work to a certain degree but there's some shit being breed out there
