Guest annette jackman
My ferreting partner has purchased a whippet/greyhound, and although Fenn is ok with this dog after awhile ferreting she started backing off holding the rabbits in the net and letting the other dog do it instead. Also when the rabbits bolted Fenn chased but again slowed and let the whippet take it, to which we lost four on the bolt. Is it best to work a dog on its own or persist with working her with the other dog. Fenn is a year older than this dog, their both bitches, and she put the whippet in its place when she needed so I dont think its a matter of dominance (although i know roles can change in dogs in different situations). Not sure what to do now, as Fenn did not appear to enjoy it as much as usual. Going to start lamp trainning soon, and I know its best not to run 2 dogs on a lamp but if its a case of another dog being there although on a lead, should i just work her on her own from now on. Any help greatful Quote Link to post
