Lewdan 17
Got myself a used scope as above, its the 4-16 x 44 vesrsion with milldot ret, The scope is in mint condition and the optics seem very clear and bright ( for the money ). I am not sure what rifle to mount it on ie .22rim, hornet, or my .223? just wondered if anyone else used one of these scopes and have an opinion, would it be ok on the .223 for shooting 200+ yds, or more at home on the r/f Cheers. Deker 3,491
Yes, I've got the 3-12 and the 4-16, they are ok! ..........................."I am not sure what rifle to mount it on ie .22rim, hornet, or my .223?" I'm a bit lost with your question, why did you buy it if you didn't have an intended use? As a rule use your best/longest range scope on the .223 and your worst scope on the .22rimfire! Lewdan 17
Hi Deker, thanks for the reply. I originally got this scope to go on the rimmy, but when i had a good look through it seemed to be a decent bit of kit, if anything slightly clearer than the one on my .223. i was just wondering if they would handle the extra recoil of the centre fire and would it be good enough use when lamping old charlie @ 150yds or so.. Thanks. LD Quote Link to post
