Alright THL, well recently i bought myself a new Lamp (My First Lamp), its the Tracer 170 sport light & also got the Deben Battery Pack 12ah.

I was just wondering is there any tips or tricks to keeping it in the best condition?

What kind of rucksack do you carry the Battery in to avoid water Damage? Do you wrap it in anything inside the Rucksack? Can it even get Water Damaged?

Is the Lamp (not battery) The lamp and cable okay to be out in all weathers? As in yeah it may affect it but they are robust enough etc...

Do you always drain the whole life out the Lamp when using it? Do you recharge to full straight after a nights Lamping then disconnect it?

Any tips Tricks to keeping then maintained to the highest Quality?

The reason i want to know this is, its an exspensive tool, exspecially when your 17 and you pay for it yourself or any age its not just a toy! If you could help me out in anyway it would be greatly appreciated, thanks Patrick.

Your battery will be fine in the rucksack without anything wrapped around it, just wipe it all down after a session. It does no harm that im aware of to let a battery run down before charging it, i just stick mine on charge before i am due to go out. And the lamp and cable will be fine in all weathers

I think it depends on the battery. :hmm: I've always been led to believe that a sealed lead acid battery (SLA) should never be allowed to completely loose it's charge..
