mad al 146
It doesn't happen often, but I was out all day today, away from the farm and on non hunting/shooting stuff. All the dogs were left at home, Rotti bitch in charge of indoors and the male Rottie and Shar Pei on patrol outdoors . When I got home about 17.00hrs, I have never been nibbled so much in my life . The Rotties tend to "cup" and "mouth" me, but the Shar Pei!!!.....nibbled everywhere, eyebrows, ears, chin and then the three of them had to "wash" me . Yesterday, I saw something that I thought was totally cool, the two males, both have the same temp., the Shar Pei I'd say is the one that is a bit more fiery and have a kind of "agreement" to respect each other (or else!!!!), well the Rottie has cut his ear, so I was having a look, which to be honest, he really doesn't want me to do. Well, the Shar Pei saw this "attention" and came a chargin' . You can imagine it, Rottie between my legs not really wanting to be touched and the Shar Pei thinking "you barsteward!!!, what about poor old me!!", the growling was deafening, then all of a sudden, just the Rottie groaning and the Shar Pei set about the First Aid, big mates really.............Al

Guest Ditch_Shitter
Face it, Al; You know it. I know it. Dogs are just simply ..... well; 'The Dogs', aren't they? I honestly wonder some times if I'm not running a bloody creche around here. It's my personal assertion that Dogs have what would largely be considered the 'mental age' of a human four or five year old. I figured this out from observing their interactions and responses. What always cracks me up most is opening the door to let them out for a break. The way they all gather there, excited and happy. Then, as the door opens they all rush out, jostling, laughing and shoving. Just like an infant school at play time. Just gotta love 'em
