sussexpoacher 45 Posted August 8, 2011 Report Share Posted August 8, 2011 One of my mates who has one of my pups came up yesterday for a bit of a mooch, so after a quick cup of coffee we headed off to the nearby forest to see what was about. Pulling into the car park ours was the only vehicle there so things were looking good, we released the bobbery pack of my 2 lurchers and JR and mates 11month old lurcher, 2 terriers and his young working collie and set off down the track, as the dogs all ran around emptying themselves we heard the dreaded noise of Kids on motorcross bikes. Sure enough as we rounded a corner 3 lads on their crossers came belting up and to us so we called the dogs to heel and put them all back on leads, the lads slowed down slightly as they passed then sped off. as peace returned we were watching my big dog hunting up through some ferns when we heard the bikes coming round again so once again the dogs were back on leads until they had passed, by now my mate and i were pissed off so we headed back to the car, once again these little scroats came belting up but this time didnt slow down to allow us to get the dogs under control and they spooked the collie who took off infront of the bikes, any sensible person would surley have stopped to allow us to grab the dog and get it back on a lead, oh no they kept going with the collie running infront of them until she dived into the verge and they belted past. Finally back at the car we loaded the dogs up and went home, i dont really mind kids on bikes as we were all young once, its just the lack of common sense that pissed us off.
