simonrocco 175 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Share Posted July 30, 2011 i making my first longnet and was wondering do you need to put a selvedged mesh on it and also im making the net 25yrds long how much do i need to knit for the bagging of the net because i read somewhere on here that you have to make your net longer to allow for bagging is this right. smithie 2,432 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Share Posted July 30, 2011 dont see why you cant use hemp for the salvage but i would make a polly net if i was to make another.. theres nothing wrong with hemp but theres a good chance it wont last as long if you dont dry it off after use.. or just buy sheet netting as its cheep Quote Link to post
