how long should i rest my dog 4 ?

The idea behind cutting the claw right back to the toe is so that there is no pressure on the damaged joint when the dog stands on it. By the time the claw has grown back the toe is hopefully healed. I've done this many times and it usually works BUT only if there is no significant damage to the toe bones and the ligaments are not actually ruptured.

agreed, but we dont know the damage on this injury.hence when pin firing ,we are looking to build up the scar tissue to help form the callouse.every injury is different as we would all agree.atb benny :victory:
