SimonB 0 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Share Posted July 18, 2011 I wonder if anybody out there can point me in the right direction of reliable pigeon guides. We live in the North West in the Ribble Valley where the farming is all sheep and beef no real crop farming at all so no numbers of pigeon. I used to go with a guy from Rufford in the Vale of York many years ago but he had serious illness and as far as I am aware he isnt guiding any more 'lost contact with him'. We have this last few years been traveling up to the Borders which is a three hour drive each way. I have now a 12 year old who is keen and spot on with his 28 bore he has been with me to the borders a number of times. Ideally looking for a guide or guides in Yorkshire / Cheshire the nearest areas to where we live but will consider travelling further away. Happy to pay the daily going rate for reliable guides 'and I don't mean that from the sense of bag size fully understand pigeon are a wild bird and it cant be guaranteed'.
