Best starter gun?

Hello fella's.

 

My boy has wanted to get into shooting for a while now, but I've tried to wait until an age where I deem him to be responsible enough to use a weapon properly.

At the Raby castle show today he used several rifles and shot very well for a first timer. So we were looking at the possibility of getting him a rifle for xmas. Seeing as I dont have a clue....what would be a good starter rifle for him? He's ten coming up?

What was he shooting pcp or spring powered? Why not look at the rifles he was shooting so well?

Both my son and nephew use Gamo Delta's. They are great little rifles, compact and light.
