a walk out with skye

Recommended Posts

It took me half an hour to walk to the bit i wanted to go to, and old walk i did with my mates dogs before i left school. :D

Still plenty of rabbits about, but what i forgot is how easily the rabits get through the fences, always seem to whichever fence on the farm, they pop through it with ease, even when i use some lamp tricks :D

ANyway i didnt want to sicken skye, but she got about 10-15 runs, perhaps that was too many runs, shes improving by means of watching the beam, but her turning is appalling :icon_eek: hopefully this will be sorted with more experience

(skye is only my second lurcher, and blade didnt seem to have problems turning, perhaps blade has just set my expectations too high)

anyway, enjoyed the walk, and good to see some other wildlife

sounds like you had a good time with her! 10 to 15 runs might have been a bit much for her, but it's not like you're going to do that every day. as far as turning, she's still young, it takes practice for a dog to figure it out.

can't wait to get onto more sociable hours so i can spend a bit more time out with my lad!
