which dog

hi folks some advice needed from lads who have had this problem just applied for my air rifle licence wont be a problem several referances and 2800 acres of permission so heres my problem im by all descriptions a lurcher man but want rifle for wood pigeons and odd bunny however im stuck on which dog to get my lurchers retrieve perfectly but do want to train them not to chase until i shoot type of thing i like them gamey so ive decided to buy a gundog i dont want a lab though ill have to do the odd day bushing with the gun club too

 

so on the basis i want the dog just for rabbits and woodpigeon the odd pheasent etc

 

whats your opinion

How about a Pointer?

i would go with a cocker or springer mate springers a bit better for larger game hares large pheasant ducks etc but for busy bodies that will graft all day i chose a cocker atb billy
