Please can any one help me, i really need a night scope to be more successful in the field at night with fox, and i know gen 2 and gen 3 would cost me an arm and a leg as well as my marrage, so has any one used a gen 1 and how succesfull have you been, is it worth the effoet of buying one or should i just save till im old and grey for gen 3, cheers guys ????

i started with gen 1 on an air rifle and to be honest i found it a waste of time but i have seen it used very sucessfully, imo the way to look at it is how much have you got to spend and how far do you need to shoot and spot. the is also the digital stuff i personal have never used it but it is getting good reviews. also look second hand i sold a gen2 unit that would have got you out to 150 yards with a laser for 500 recently so there is stuff out there

pulsar challenger will go 100 yards with right illumination but is a add on unit rated by many as the best of the gen 1 units even though its gen 1+ plus proberly the cheapest gen 1 unit usally costing under 300 new with 3 year warrenty but then u need a good laser which will set u back a 100+ for new like bang bang says though u get [bANNED TEXT] u pay for i have the challenger but are already thinking of upgradeing to gen or one the n550digi units what can be used day or night
