Rabbithunter 456
Okay, just yet another small buisness plan going through my head As far as i am aware, there is no qualifications needed to carry out PAT testing, although courses are available to make you aware of how to PAT test. I have done plenty of PAT in 3 years so have a very good knowledge of how to do it and the paperwork involved. But how would you price up a Portable Applicance Test? Part p the dreaded part p, designed to stop kitchen fitters & plumbers carrying out minor works, but also stopping a lot of sparkys from doing installations without the relevant certificates which do come at a large cost As far as i am aware, new circuits in domestic properties are forbidden unless part P registered. But i believe that circuit alterations/additions can be done with Part P, perhaps a qualified spark can notify me otherwise? I am doing my AM2 on march 5th so hopefully get my certificates, i do have my 8 units of credit towards C&G 2351 L2 in knowledge of electrical installations. My new venture should it work out will involve PAT testing and small works, ie; additional sockets, additional lights etc..... So any info, greatly appreciated (like most of my ventures, i doubt it will go ahead )
