white shading on scope

tonight for the first time went to go lamping with my .243 with a scope mounted clulite lamp....with the mod on( t8)..kept getting white shading on scope...on removal of mod ..the white shading had disappeared.....believe the white shading on scope, is light reflecting back off the mod....any advice would be helpfull...

Either a black neoprene mod cover, or you may have to make a part to make the lamp sit a bit higher on the scope.

looks like its going to be a mod cover....'the easiest way'...lol...

if its possible move the light either backwards or forwards a little or cock it off to one side a little. even if you change the collour of the moderator you may still get the shadow in the sight pic

Have bought a sunshade......btw scope is Leupold VX-I 3-9x50..'not a bad bit of kit'...
