hi ive just bought 5metre whip on ebay 1st section is allow, just asking anybody out there which ii the best way to fit ring on the end as it hasnt one. or wether to fit a stonflo part dont want to make pole from it want to keep it as a whip.any one familiar with art please reply.thanks.

The easy way, fit a Stonfo. The way i was shown to do it is to have 2 pieces of thin Silicon sleeve. Push one down onto the tip of the whip, about 6" from the end. The other goes onto your rig above the Float. Tie a loop in top end of the rig and then Lassoo it back on it's self, put the Lassooed loop over the silicon thats on the whip and tighten it. Then twist the line around the tip upto the end of the whip, about 7/8 turns will do. Then slip the last piece of silicon over the tip end, just leaving a little bit over the end. You can glue the first piece of silicon if you want, i never did, and it never let me down. Sounds complicated but once youv'e done it it's easy.

 

BTW, was shown this by someone called Ivan Marks, he did alright.

you could elasticate it instead? if you go to a tackle shop and buy a match elastic kit. just follow the instructions in the packet. the but end of the whip should screw off so you can get to the back of the first two sections. pm me if you dont get instructions with the kit and need advice (if you go that route)

thanks born hunter i think even ican accomplish this.thank you for simpley fyeing the proceder thats tomorrow sorted out.like i said idont want another elasticated pole,i want to keep it as whip also is this what you call a flick tip.thanks again.
