Sunk Ammunition Ships

yep my dad used to tell us when we were kids about some of the stuff he did for queen and country and sinking these ships of old munitions was one of them he told us of a few that was sunk about 3 miles out from Dover...and in the early eighties a trawler pulled some gear up in its nets.

never mind the ammo down there,bet there is f*****g loads of gold and other shiny things lol.heres a thing maybe someone can answer.not being morbid btw,but you never see footage of bones and stuff when you see pics of the wrecks.ie titanic and that.is that intential editing or do they eventually crumble to dust.

they are classed as graves mate and not disturbed all vessels lost at sea

Just think of all the tonnes of unexploded bombs in our cities, London, Coventry ,Sheffield, Liverpool etc these bombs dropped by the luftwaffe are sat there buried deep underground and for the sake of a faulty fuse didn't go off. It's not to say they won't in the future though.

Couple of years ago in Sheffield one was discovered disturbed by the floods.

I think a 500 pound bomb was found in a city / town in England last year cos l remember reading about it on-line!

 

Could be worse though they could be chemical bombs or gas or even radioactive like they've sunk of our coastlines...

 

Wouldn't like to eat any fish caught in them areas!
