I just love being out in the country, dusk or dawn are great but nowdays dawn sees me up at 0600 getting my girls ready ready for the day and dusk sees me reading stories and giving baths so i'll take anytime Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Step outside my cottage and I'm in it. But best times to step outside? So many! I love it very late at night. I go out there and just gaze up at the vast, inky blackness. Or maybe there'll be a thick crust of stars. The silence can be deafening. It's beautiful. Then there's the summers days when everything's warm and lazy making. I just want to lay down everywhere then! (Of course, the harsh reallity of the f*cking Horse Flies soon puts paid to all that! ) Right now it's in between times. I've just been out on my ground, checking things and making plans. Things to do and bits to fix. But I'll wait till it's just that tad drier and warmer yet. I'm in no mood or rush to hump corrugated iron up through mud and sodden ground. No, it's really rather pleasent out there right now, but I'm waiting ~ like the Ash buds ~ to burst forth a little later. For now I just go out when I need to. Do what has to be done. Check and plan. But, here at least, I'm more of a summer man. It's a case of needs must. It doesn't freeze here. It just gets boggyer. It is hilly where i live too, so the views are brilliant. Fellman loves it when he comes to visit cause its the only time he has off roaded in that clean 4 wheeler of his :whistle: . I could never live back in towney places now.......the peace and quiet at 5/6am when i am walking the mutts is to die for. The best thing is i can fall out of bed in my jimjams stick my wellies and a coat on,take the mutts out and not worry what i look like cause i know i aint gonna bump into anyone.x Quote Link to post Share on other sites
