Guest houndblair Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 Today was the last day ferreting for this season for me, Awoke at 7 fed ferrets, gathred equipment and got in the car and arived at my permission at quater past eight! As i was on my own i spent at least 15 mins trying to fir the bloody collar on one of the jills and got bitten atleast 2wice But oh well i netted up and entred my ferrets With squking everywhere i bolted the tinisy little rabbit, so got him before the ferret and put him in my coat poket for safty from Thunder A few mitiues later i herd a huge squel and fighting between the rabbits and ferret, Thunder had layed up on a young rabbit and i could not dig to them beacuse it was in an old tree, So my ferret soon emreged and i walked a short disatce to another burry what happend to be unocupied, so just as it began to rain at about 10.30am i put the little bunny back and got collected and my mate rang and asked if i wanted to go shooting, So we paked up and went to his with the ferrets but ended up bolting a even tinier rabbit which my girl mates who came along fell in love with it and spent most of the time with it before putting the second bunny back in it home to wait for mum and dad! As i failed to meet the demands of two rabbits for the farmer for letting us use his land im glad these little rabbits will have time to grow up and have a chance of life. I shall meet them again next season! I have a few pics but cant upload them at this moment! Quote Link to post
