Very smart

Mine all look a little funny at the moment as they are nursing and have their summer coats, i will post a pic when im not pestering them.

I did have a jill, sadly she died last year. If you put her down you were digging!! She would bolt rabbits but was too fast for the kill. Well fed before an outing and she would still kill down the hole.

Bonus was she found all the stop ends.

My young un wanted to enter the jill at the local game fair in the ferret racing, which we did to please her. The jill wouldnt entertain any of it. No scent, no racing :icon_redface: , seemed embarasing at the time but fills me with pride when i look back. Will be hard to replace.

Cheers mate

Aye, i'm waitig for the summer 'rat tail' to kick in, i can see them starting to look a bit shabby all ready.

Funny how ferrets, even from the same breeding, can have such different work styles, and also how sometimes these styles do pass on down the generations.

The mother to this one, has a thing about eyes, she will empty a stop end one by one, pulling out their eyes and bullying them into bolting. I don't think i have known her to kill in.

I know what you mean about the racing, i don't think mine would be interested, they wont go down a hole without a bunny  Handy really.

Good ferrets are worth their weight in gold and most people dont seem to get that, and although you can f**k up a well bred ferret, i really think the best workers are born to it
