Beano1456 14
i have been going out lamping since i bought my BSA lightning xl after rabbits and rats. and after many many hours i have only managed to bag two rabbits in the last 18months its not that there not there or there to far away i can get within 30 yards easily which is what i zero my sight at and in my garden i can get every shot within an 1/2 inch of the bullseye and i have shot countless rats must be around the 100 mark no problem i may miss the occasional shot where i get impatient and take the first shot i get but other than that its spot on. when it comes to rabbits on the other hand i couldn't the proverbial barn door at ten yards and i cannot figure out why i have tried every thing i can think of to try and aid me and i am still stuck in this situation has anyone else had this problem? Ron Weasley 83
Most shots at night are missed due to poor range estimation. Estimating distance in the dark is much harder than in daylight! Quote Link to post

Yeah I had a bad habbit of getting to close especially when shooting from the car, some measured reference points on my perm have helped keep me in check Quote Link to post
