Springer Spaniel Bitch not standing for dog to serve

springer spanial bitch wouldnt stand for a dog to serve her. She was left with the dog for about 2 weeks but wouldnt let him near her. At home she'd stand for jack russel no bother although didnt let him serve.

 

Any thoughts on why shes doing this.

she is on her own ground .if the stud dog was any good he would of nailed her anyway

Was ths the only dog on site?..... A couple of years ago i tried to have my mates lurcher mate with my bitch. She wouldnt let him any where near her but he also had an american bulldog and we had to stop her getting to him. My thoughts were that maybe they know which dog is the alpha male.
