Is my ferret defective?

Recommended Posts

I've kept a hob and jill from last Mays litter mate. They are just the sameas yours.don't forget they're still like puppies and love to play underground!

Coincidentally i had no luck this week at several holes which were certainly play holes where they leave their droppings outside and check out the insides for the impending breeding season.

Stick at it and enjoy your hunting!

Mooster. :)

start off in small warrens if you can, even better if there single holers. i was in the same position as you, had a young ferret that didnt seem interested. put her in a dig were the rabbit kicked the other ferret off and she came straight out! but my dog marked a single holer and think she realises now what she's for. went out for a quick look last weekend for a bit of experiance and she bolted 4. took her time shifting the first one and even left it at one point, so i tryed the big hob who had never been to ground before. he's older than her but was straight in and out of the next hole, so ill look for a small place for him to start off. i reintroduced the jill to the warren and she got it moving. she even managed to peg one in the mouth of the hole on the next bury. keep trying small places and giving them rabbit and it will soon click once she connects.
