New International Lurcher Championships

I am delighted to report excellent progress with the new International Lurcher championships - The Master Mc Grath Challenge and the Five Nations International Lurcher Championships. We now have qualifiers in place throughout Ireland and the UK with other applications being processed. If you would like your club to be considered

we can still take a few more for each so if your club would like a qualifier please email me on irishgamefair@btinternet.com.

 

We are delighted to welcome the following sponsors Redmills Dog Food; Barbour; Countryside Alliance Ireland; Premier Event Catering; David L Prescott ( artist) and Irish Countrysports and Country Life magazine. The winner of each competition will have as a minimum €500, a Barbour Coat woth €500; a portrait of their dog plus a range of other prizes including Redmills new dog food. The Runner Up will also receive a good range of prizes. All qualifiers will receive a donation towards their travelling expenses.

 

The Final of the Master McGrath Challenge takes place at Ireland's largest game or country Fair -the Irish Game Fair , Shanes Castle on the 25th June. Please note there will not be a qualifying heat at this event simply the final BUT everyone can enter the 22nd annual All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships Racing on the same day.

 

The Final of the Five Nations International Championship and its final heat take place at the Irish Game & Country Fair , Birr Castle, Co Offaly the ROI's largest game or country fair on the 28th August.

Noted and changed. Thanks - hope to see some Home Counties dogs across - we have special ferry & accommodation rates and the hospitality will be good!
