bird 10,014
my lab used to go mad when it see sheep when she was a pup but i had to get use to them where my old bitch went lab would not live her side took them in the field let the lab off lab did not look at the sheep Trouble is that can be a double edged sword, the pup could chase a sheep and a previously stock broken dog joins in, seen it happen spot on, the pack mentality kicks in then . You want all dogs calm 1st, and even then you have to keep a eye on them.! All my dogs are broke to stock from 12 weeks old, and i still take them 4 times a week (every week) never trust any dog 100% regards your pup keep it on the lead, if it shows to much interest in them, yank it on the lead. Not to hard just enough to get it to focus on you and not the sheep. Keep at it , and (dont) let of the lead till it shows no interest in the sheep Quote Link to post
blackpack 70
first of all dont use a shock collar, its banned in Wales, use a long piece of lead and let it bolt for the sheep, tie it around your waist and the dog will come to a stop mate, then scold it, i used a rolled up paper. Good luck Quote Link to post
