HID kits

Recommended Posts

Ive just been browsing over the internet and came across some information on a kit that you can use with the lightforce lamps called HID kits was just wondering if anyone on here has used 1 or has seen one and if so would like to hear some opinions on this subject. at the moment the only information i can gather is that these types of lamps are used on off road vehicles from what ive seen so far. here is just some of the information i have found on these • Fitted with distinctive red anodised bulb holder.

• Integral ballast and ignitor, all electrical components are installed within the light.

• Available in either 12v (13.5v)

• Lumen output is a phenomenal 5200 lumens, that’s an impressive 62% increase compared to the existing 35w unit at 3200 lumens.

• Produces over double the intensity of the standard 35w HID light increasing theoretical beam distance of 1,500 metres at one lux.

• 4000°k Colour temperature.

• European manufactured Gen 5 ballast with complete testing approvals and comprehensive certification.

• 3000 hours rated bulb life. (based on standard switching cycle)

Take too long to turn on, then get upto full power, and then need to cool down before being turned on again, so not ideal for lamping.

Decent led ones aren't far away, i'm waiting for those before trading up my striker.
