Parabuteos lad 878
iv just shot a pigeon on my shed, the pellet hit the pigeon in the chest, through the wing . so i have skinned the pigeon, removed the wing it did'nt hit and the two breasts, anyway, after thoroughly feeling the breasts i cannot feel the pellet and im 99% certain its not in there, after checking the rest of the body i cannot find the pellet . my question to you is, should i or should i not feed it to my bird?????? just noticed, i have wrote "thoroughly feeling the breasts" please no silly remarks Quote Link to post

I knock over a good few squirrels, Pigeons and Bunnies with the air rifle, if they've been shot anywhere near the body I do everything to find the Pellet, thankfully 99% of the time they passing through so no worries there. normally you can see a entry hole and a exit hole! if not its probably still in there somewhere. If you can pull off head shots you're laughing! straight off with their head and the rests in the freezer for food. Jasper Quote Link to post
j j m 6,596
if it was in the breast mate you would see a darker colour on the meat where it entered or left, you can always feel a pellet bud between thumb and index finger gently sqeezing the breast i would say its safe to use it bud,but best to always check the meat if in any doubt dont feed it mate Quote Link to post
